Gentle Zoo Animal Encounters

The Gentle Zoo is pleased to present fun and educational animal programs for all ages. Whether a school program, daycare or home birthday party, our critters are happy to come to visit you! Each presentation lasts about 45 minutes and includes hands on animal contact. Please call us to discuss your specific needs and we can tailor a program just for you.

Animal Tales

Our most popular animal encounter. We will present a variety of small animals and read a story to go along with your theme. After the story is finished, children are allowed to pet the animals and animal biofacts. Popular themes include mammals, reptiles, animal babies, and habitats.

Creepy Critters

Children and adults are equally fascinated by nature’s creepy, crawly critters. We will bring several that can be touched as well as some to observe and animal biofacts. Information will be given about the animal as well as its role in nature. Can also be presented for any other single class of animals.

Fur, Feathers, Scales and Tails

This program will introduce young children to four of the animal classes. We will bring a variety of animals and animal biofacts for the children to pet and talk about. They will learn how each animal’s traits determine the class they are part of. Can also be done for preschoolers in themes of Colors, Shapes and Sizes.
